For a very long time, I had been wanting and searching for a pair of “blue-tinted” sunglasses, and much to my chagrin, I had not been able to find the right ones to fit my face shape and personality… you know how that goes – but on several occasions, having come “close enough”, I would buy a pair, only to be disappointed soon after.
I had pretty much given up on the idea of finding the perfect pair, but not quite. On this one particular Saturday morning, I felt inspired and determined that this was going to be the day. I decided I would spend the WHOLE day looking for them and I would be successful! I went from store to store, mall to mall, thrift shop to thrift shop… NOTHING. Again, I had come so close, but having learned from my previous purchasing errors, I refrained from buying the runner-ups. Finally, after about 7 hours of very focussed hunting, I headed for home – empty-handed.
As I turned into my back alley driveway (in a very old part of town), the sun glinted off something lying in the grass, in the middle of the car tracks. Normally, I would have just carried right on by, but my intuition said, “stop” – so I did. I got out of the car and strolled over to where the shining spot was, and I couldn’t believe my eyes.
I bent down and picked up a brand new pair of blue-tinted sunglasses!! And yes – they were a perfect fit and design for my face. I was astonished and thrilled. I had heard Abraham Hicks speak about focussed manifestation before, but still I couldn’t believe it. Had they been just any pair of sunglasses it wouldn’t have mattered – but a brand new, perfectly fitting, blue-tinted pair, was unbelievable and undeniable!
I have been able to manifest things before, even large things, but over much longer periods of time, and some would argue that it was just my persistent determination and perhaps good luck that brought them about, and not anything inexplicable or magical … but I beg to differ – what are the odds of blue tinted, perfectly fitting?
If you are like me, it is easy to become distracted – technology has a way of doing that to us, but also divided in mind by multi-tasking and over-loaded schedules in our fast paced lives. I think we all learned from our covid lockdown experience what it might be like to slow down…even stop to smell the roses.
It is my feeling that we, as humanity, are capable of so much more. How could we go about living life differently? Could we work in a different way than we do now? What could we create if we put our focussed minds together? – For humanity as a whole, rather than competing every man for himself as we do now.
It is up to each of us to discover and develop our greatest Being – and to KNOW in our heart of hearts, that we are part of something much greater than the “I” can see.
